In 2018, America’s Urban Campus created its Career Services Collaborative, bringing together the Career Services Directors of our member institutions to share best practices, identify opportunities for our students through partnerships with civic and business groups, and to participate in professional development through period panel discussions

Our monthly Zoom calls started during the pandemic as a way to share experiences and ideas for operating career services programs and conducting career fairs on a remote basis.
The calls have continued as a time efficient mechanism for sharing best practices, matching notes on trends in employment and student engagement, and for development of hybrid models for work with employers.
The collaborative also launched a series of professional development panels using Zoom, focusing on issues identified by members. These panels are open to the staff of all the career services offices.
