America’s Urban Campus works with Choose Chicago, the City’s tourism and Convention Bureau’s Connecting to Chicago program and the many conventions that come to McCormick Place.
We link our members’ career services offices to conventions that have special programs to engage college students with their industry. The conventions offer networking opportunities with industry representatives and free access to convention exhibitor floors.
In a spinoff event, America’s Urban Campus co-hosted an industry day event with the Chicago chapter of the International Live Events Association, attended by 60 students from four universities who were majoring in the arts, event production, hospitality and marketing.
