JUNE 14, 2021: MEDICAL STUDENT TAKES ON THE PERSISTING COVID-19 CRISIS IN INDIA

Aparna Nutakki, a fourth-year student at Rush Medical College, is working alongside Project C.U.R.E., the world’s largest distributor of medical donations to developing countries. Nutakki is aiming to send $15,000 worth of medical beds to the NTR Health Trust for their distribution to India’s most in-need regions.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported today that Northwestern scientists have come up with a drug with the potential to treat severe pneumonia associated with COVID-19. In an article Published In Nature, the scientists said this could be important both for those suffering in the current pandemic but also as a treatment for future virus-related diseases.
